Russian floats dwindle despite commodity boom

Only one Russian company braved the hostile equity market with an inital public offering in the first half of this year, despite strong domestic growth and optimism about the country's new president, leaving Ukraine to overtake its neighbour in terms of primary offerings for the first time.

This could be bad news for Russian entrepreneurs hoping to raise capital from listing their companies on the public markets.
