Standard & Poor's, the debt ratings agency, has lowered its long-term corporate credit and senior unsecured debt ratings on Reuters, the information and technology group, to A+ from AA-.

The agency also lowered its short-term corporate credit and commercial paper ratings on the group to A1 from A1+.
