Standard & Poor's Fund Services has decided to focus on establishing a more in-depth service analysing the performance of retail funds, following a strategic review of its business.

S&P, the leading provider of independent information on mutual funds, had considered extending its service to the measurement of institutional funds, but decided to shelve this idea for the time being.
