Sanjana steps down from Friends Ivory & Sime

Barry Sanjana, chief investment officer at Friends Ivory & Sime prior to its acquisition of Royal & SunAlliance Investments, has resigned and stepped down from the board.

His departure comes less than three months after Howard Carter, chief executive of Friends Ivory & Sime, overlooked Sanjana for the top job in favour of Royal & SunAlliance's Robert Talbut, after Friends Ivory & Sime acquired the asset management business of the UK life assurance firm for £240m (€386.4m).
