For restaurateurs, having their businesses on hold until lockdown lifts may have felt a little like Waiting for Godot. Now, at least one of them has decided they are better off waiting by robot.
M Restaurants, which operates two high-end eateries on Threadneedle Street and Victoria Street in London, has an unconventional welcome planned for diners returning to the City after lockdown: Robot champagne waiters.
