Scandinavian currencies hit by fears of downturn

The Scandinavian currencies are likely to suffer from further volatility and record lows against the euro as foreign exchange speculators "bail out" because of the region's gloomy economic outlook and fears over banking, the market and economic risk, an analyst said today.

In recent days, the Swedish Krona has been particularly pummelled against the euro, with the Krona trading at over 10 euros for the first time in its history.
