Susan Schnabel has joined Colin Taylor as co-head of Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) Private Equity's European team after investors in the bank's $5.4bn (€4.6bn) global buy-out fund increased the fund's maximum allocation to Europe from a quarter to a third of the total.

Investors in the fund, which was closed at the end of 2001, agreed last month to increase the maximum allocation to Europe. The decision follows CSFB Private Equity's involvement with several significant deals in Europe in the past 18 months.
