Schroder Investment Management, the London-based investment management group, has bolstered its fixed income capability by hiring Nicholas Gartside as European fixed income manager.

Gartside joins from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. At Schroders, he will be responsible for European Government bonds and will report to Lisa Coleman, the firm's head of European fixed income.
