Schroders chief executive Peter Harrison has seen off opposition to his pay packet at the firm's annual general meeting today, despite some discontent about his salary among shareholder groups.

Some of the world's largest corporate governance advisers argued Harrison's pay is too excessive, in particular because of the asset manager's policy of uncapped bonuses.
