Schroders, the asset management group, has closed its private equity fund of funds at €242m ($233m), well below its original target of €300m, because of its short fundraising window.

The fund of funds is listed on the Dublin Stock Exchange, and is structured to accommodate both institutional investors, such as the West Yorkshire pension fund which has committed £10m, and high net worth individuals.
