Schroders to contest ageism claim

Schroders will contest a US lawsuit brought by Sharon Haugh, former chairman of its North American division, that she was dismissed from the investment management because of her age.

Haugh, 56, has alleged that Michael Dobson, Schroders chief executive, said he was firing her on grounds that he wanted someone younger to head the division.
