Scottish Widows poaches Oechsle manager

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has hired Alister Hibbert as a European equity manager from Oechsle International Advisors, the global equity specialist backed by US private equity firm Hellman & Friedman.

Prior to Oechsle, Hibbert used to work for Invesco Perpetual, where he was once lieutenant to Rory Powe, whose European equity fund outperformed dramatically during the late 1990s bull market, before hitting the bear market.
