Amvescap, the US-Anglo fund manager has delayed making a decision on whether to pay an interim dividend as a result of continuing investigations by the US regulator the Securities and Exchange Commission and New York state Attorney General, Eliot Spitzer

Executive chairman Charles Brady said:" The boardof directors has decided to defer a decision on the interim dividend until after a regulatory settlement has been concluded."
