The US Securities and Exchange Commission has appointed Lona Nallengara as acting director of the division of corporation finance. He replaces Meredith Cross, who leaves the SEC to join the private sector.
Nallengara was previously deputy director for legal and regulatory policy of the division since March 2011, overseeing a number of offices.
