The former chief executive of the UK's Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association is to join one of the UK's new public sector pensions mega-pools as chair, as the fund prepares for a 2018 launch.

Joanne Segars, who will stand down as chief executive of the UK pension trade body in June, is to join the LGPS Central pool, which will oversee an estimated £38 billion.
