Sergio Ermotti on Thursday said pride has been restored at UBS, as he prepares to step down after almost a decade leading Switzerland’s largest bank.

The Swiss banker will make way for Ralph Hamers, the current chief executive of ING Groep, the Dutch bank, on 1 November, according to a statement.
