SG appoints head of German investment banking

SG Corporate and Investment Banking has appointed Jörg Freimund, an M&A technology banker in Paris, as head of investment banking in Germany. He replaces Christophe Bettoni, who has left the French bank.

Bettoni joned SG in 2002 from Morgan Stanley as part of a plan to ramp up M&A and equity capital markets in Germany. Bettoni could not be reached and it is unclear why he left or whether he has found a new post.
