SG, the corporate and investment banking business of the Société Générale Group, has strengthened its German equity capital markets (ECM) team with the arrival of Ralf Darpe from JP Morgan, in the French bank's third investment banking hire in Frankfurt this year.

In May, SG hired Michael Sautter from Deutsche Bank for the newly-created position of managing director of investment banking for Germany. Christophe Bettoni also joined as head of German mergers and acquisitions from Morgan Stanley.
