SG makes further hires to fixed income franchise

SG, the corporate & investment banking arm of Société Générale, has hired David Scott to head up a newly formed UK and Ireland interest rate derivatives sales desk, as part of an ongoing effort to expand the bank's fixed-income and derivatives franchise.

Scott joins the French bank from Rabobank. He will report to Marcus Ribka, head of sales for the UK, Ireland & Germany. Scott and his team, which has yet to be hired, will distribute structured interest rate derivatives products to financial institutions in the UK and Ireland. It will focus on products combining elements of both interest rate and credit exposure, where the bank has seen high demand from investors.
