Recruitment firms Egon Zehnder and Sheffield Haworth have emerged at the top of new City of London headhunter rankings, after a year that saw an increase in hiring in the higher pay brackets.

Executive Grapevine published the results of its annual UK Executive Search ranking on July 20. The company found that search assignments for financial services jobs with salaries of more than £100,000 increased by 4.6% in the year to March 31. Those where pay was in excess of £200,000 increased by 5%.
