Singer & Friedlander, the group bought by Iceland-based Kaupthing last October, has hired Trevor Foster as head of banking as part of a push to build its corporate division.

Foster will join Singer & Friedlander from Bank of Scotland, where he spent seven years as regional head of corporate banking for the Midlands.
