Skandia axes 200 jobs

Skandia, the troubled Swedish financial services firm, has axed 200 staff from its Swedish operation.

Gert Engman, general manager of Skandia Sweden, said: "After taking a careful inventory of the new organisation's human resource needs, we are now adjusting our staffing. We will also be investing for the future to increase Skandia's market share in Sweden and will therefore also have to recruit new employees."
