Skandia Insurance Company is launching a global mutual fund firm, Skandia Global Funds (SGF), which will offer a fund family comprising of 20 sub-funds.

SGF will determine the fund objective, define the investment mandate and select and monitor the investment manager for each fund. As one of the world's largest buyers of asset management services with investment mandates from 145 fund managment organisations around the world and $95bn (€102bn) in assets under management, Skandia is well placed to bring the product concept to the market.
