Anita Skipper, director of corporate governance at Aviva Investors, was a popular winner of Financial News’ Most Influential Woman in Asset Management award.
She started out in the governance field in 1992 at Norwich Union, when her then boss Mike Sandland asked her to work with him on the Cadbury Code, which was the UK government's response to a series of corporate failures including Maxwell Communications, Polly Peck and the Bank of Credit and Commerce International.
