Donald Trump’s imminent return to the White House ought to give new urgency to the efforts to revive stock market flotations in London.

Some investors fear Trump’s tax‑cutting, red-tape-slashing agenda will make New York relatively more appealing for companies looking to IPO. This may prove true for large companies with big businesses in the US and a strong investment story to tell.
