Two former Merrill Lynch bankers are to be reunited at Société Générale, as the French bank extends its hiring push in advisory and capital markets with the appointment of a head of German investment banking.

Guido Zoeller, a managing director in Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Frankfurt office, is joining Société Générale as head of its German coverage and investment banking division.
