Societe Generale has filled a key role in its sales and trading business following a reshuffle of the unit's leadership just over a month ago.

The French bank has handed Peter McGahan a new brief as global head of equities and derivatives sales, also putting the former Citigroup executive in charge of its entire UK equities and derivatives trading business, according to a person familiar with the situation.
