Société Générale has told a number of its London-based staff that they may lose their jobs if they do not move to Paris as part of the bank’s contingency planning for a no-deal Brexit.

The bank said in a statement on Friday that if UK and EU regulators fail to secure a trade deal then selected roles “will no longer be able to be performed from here [the UK] for regulatory reasons”.
