Société Générale has added to its team of analysts covering banks in the UK, where the French firm has set its sights on becoming the number one provider of research on the fast-changing financial sector.

Philip Richards, an ex-Citigroup analyst, joined the French bank on November 1 in a newly-created role as a regulation and UK banks analyst in London. He joined from investment bank Execution Noble.
