Societe Generale has promoted Denis Stas de Richelle to global head of infrastructure and asset-based finance, as of last Friday. Based in Paris, he will build out the bank's infrastructure business and asset-based financings, as well as work on capital market ideas such as project bonds. He was promoted from global head of export finance, a role he had held since 2007 and which has now been filled by Frédéric Surdon. Based in Paris, Surdon started his new role on the same day, having been promoted from chief operating officer for the global finance division. Both Stas de Richelle and Surdon report to Matthew Vickerstaff, global head of structured finance. Vickerstaff took on his current role in April 2012, when the bank made him head of a new financing business line, which includes infrastructure, asset-based finance, export finance and transaction and debt advisory activities.
*CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article stated that Stas de Richelle and Surdon are based in London. In fact they are based in Paris.
