SoftBank Vision Fund cancels Delhi employee bash

The decision was made in the fourth quarter of last year – just as one of SoftBank’s biggest bets was imploding

Executives at the SoftBank Vision Fund are used to plush events in Miami and California, but after last year’s debacles the influential tech investor is slashing spending on a corporate shindig.

The Japanese conglomerate’s controversial Vision Fund has scrapped a lavish annual bash that could have cost up to $9m, Financial News can reveal. The event was due to take place in Delhi, India in March 2020.
