South Africa sees record equity sale

Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and UBS have completed a R6bn (€776m) sale of shares in Telkom SA in a record equity offering in South Africa.

The three banks were joint global co-ordinators and bookrunners. Bankers close to the deal said it was also one of the largest emerging market equity transactions in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
