Michael Spencer's efforts to ensure diversity in the senior ranks of his new company, NEX Group, have been boosted with the appointment of a second female board member in a month.

Samantha Wren, the chief commercial officer for NEX Markets, which houses the group's trading venues, has joined the board with immediate effect, according to a statement.
