Spitzer aide joins Morgan Stanley

Morgan Stanley, the US bank, has hired a regulator from the office of Eliot Spitzer, the New York Attorney General, to help rebuild its reputation following Spitzer's investigation into conflicts of interest between research and investment banking.

Eric Dinallo joins Morgan Stanley as head of regulatory matters. He worked closely with Spitzer on the investigation as chief of investment protection.
