State Street Global Advisors has appointed a replacement director for its Advanced Research Centre in Boston.

Anthony Foley has been recruited from New York-based Pareto Partners, where he was director of research, to take over from interim head of ARC John Serhant, who remains chairman of SSgA's investment committee and director of its non-US business.
