A little over a month after revealing his plans for Standard Chartered’s investment banking business, new chief executive Bill Winters has lured a top HSBC banker with years of emerging markets experience to run the division.
Simon Cooper will join Standard Chartered as chief executive of corporate and institutional banking in April 2016, pending regulatory approval, the bank said in a December 17 statement.
