Standard Chartered preps for Brexit with Frankfurt plans

Standard Chartered, a UK-headquartered bank that mostly does business in Asia, has set out plans to bolster its subsidiary in Frankfurt in preparation for Brexit.

José Viñals, the bank's chairman, revealed the move at the bank's annual general meeting today. A spokeswoman for the bank said: "We can confirm we have decided to progress with an application to set up a European subsidiary in Frankfurt."
