Standard Life hire to focus on performance

Standard Life Investments has appointed Paul Pasquill, formerly head of Halifax Fund Management, as investment director responsible for the performance of its retail funds.

Standard Life's retail funds total £1.5bn (€2.52bn). Pasquill will look after investment strategy, performance, risk monitoring and client liason. He will report to Alan Burton, managing director of Standard Life mutual funds.
