Standard Life Investments boosts US private equity team

Standard Life Investments' private equity team has poached John Guinee, its second hire from State Street, as part of its drive into the US.

Guinee's appointment follows Dan Cahill, who was hired to set up Standard Life's private equity office in Boston earlier this year. He has $200m (€1.8m) to invest in US funds of private equity funds. While he was at State Street, Cahill set up its fund of funds business.
