Global push drives record assets at Standard Life

Scottish fund manager reaps rewards of extended international reach

Standard Life Investments reported a rise in assets under management to record levels during the first quarter, having expanded its investor base beyond the UK as part of a push to deliver on "global ambitions".

The Edinburgh-based investment manager reported its assets under management had reached £62.2bn (€46.9bn) by the end of March, partially due to net inflows of £2.1bn over the quarter - three times higher than the same period last year - the company announced in its first quarter report today.
