Standard Life trust picks chairman

Standard Life Equity Income Trust, the £110m (€161.7m) trust managed by investment director Karen Robertson, has appointed Charles Wood to succeed Tony Mitchard as chairman.

Wood, a former director of UK and Continental European equities at Lehman Brothers, has been a director of the trust since 2003.
