The departure of ABN Amro Asset Management's George Luckraft and Nigel Thomas has highlighted the danger of adopting a star manager approach.

A stream of independent financial advisers have advised investors to move out of ABN following their exit, posing a risk to retail funds worth £1.3bn (&euro2.1bn).
