State Street posted greater revenue and earnings year over year in the latest quarter as fee-based and interest income both grew.

The Boston-based investment-management company logged third-quarter earnings of $1.96 a share, a rise from $1.45 a share in the year-ago quarter. Net income was $714m, up from $555m a year ago.
