State Street funds unit names new Emea risk head

The funds arm of US banking giant State Street has promoted a near 20-year firm veteran to the role of head of risk for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

State Street Global Advisors, which manages about $2.3 trillion in assets, confirmed that Andrew Soper, who had led UK portfolio management in its investment solutions group, has assumed overall Emea risk oversight responsibilities.
