The billionaire hedge fund manager Steven Cohen's investment firm Point72 Asset Management has reaffirmed its committment to growing its London office despite the Brexit vote as it added another recruit to its quantitative team.
Cohen, who was in January told by regulators that he could be managing other people's money from 2018, confirmed plans that month to open a London office in a move marking a return to the UK capital since his old firm SAC Capital Advisors shut its office in the UK capital in 2013. Since then, Point72 has made several hires to the team.
