Sudden departure for CSFB's Goekjian

Chris Goekjian, head of fixed income at Credit Suisse First Boston and heir-apparent to chief executive Allen Wheat, has unexpectedly quit the bank.

CSFB said that Goekjian is to step down from his role as fixed income chief with 'immediate effect' and that he will leave the bank at the end of the month.
