SunAlliance cuts equities exposure

The near £2bn (€3bn) SunAlliance pension scheme sold an estimated £500m worth of equities in a few months last year, slashing its equity exposure from 80% to 45% of the fund.

The move helped cut its exposure to the stockmarket and left estimates of the pensions deficit by Morgan Stanley looking wide of the mark.
