SunGard profits rise 10% in second quarter

SunGard, the financial services IT developer, posted a 10% rise in profits for the second quarter of the year, bolstered by acquisitions.

SunGard made profits of $90m (€78.3m) off revenues of $734m, up 18% on the second quarter of 2002. Revenues from the company's investment support systems unit grew 11% to $384m, due to acquisitions.
