This could finally be the year of change for pay for those at the top of the UK's biggest companies as investors and politicians gear up for a fight, according to Colin McLean, managing director of SVM Asset Management.

The last shareholder revolt in 2014 "promised much but quickly fizzled out", McLean wrote in a comment piece for FN in May 2016. But with the annual general meeting season getting underway, he thinks this time will be different.
