Sweden talks tough after Skandia scandal

Swedish companies may face a tough new corporate governance code in the wake of the scandal surrounding irregular payments to directors at Skandia, the financial services group.

Göran Persson, the Swedish prime minister, has not ruled out legislation if the business community fails to act.
